Post Meridiem PokeMN

This week is the City Pages 10th Annual COMIX ISSUE! My cartoon happens to be featured both in lovely newsprint AND on the world wide web.

*some of you kids may recognize my subtle homage to the wildly popular Nintendo franchise 'Monster in My Pocket.'

Throwback Thursdays: Gopher Times

Roughly one year ago SUMMER CAMPS were all the rage in Minnesota -- with their fingers on the pulse of this hip new trend, City Pages published these fine cartoons.  Drawing inspiration from Gremlins and adolescence, I present my own tear-soaked letter home.

Stay Alert! Gophers are real.

Comics That Read Themselves

Damn mutagen!
It's my own fault really, I got my ink bottles and
ooze-canisters mixed up again and, well, this happened:

'Taste Lost'

'Spy Flakes'

'Hercules'

That's right, storyboards--
comic's ugly cousin.

I... Have... RETURNED!

Well, this is embarrassing. If you are reading this,
then you must be lost. I can show you the way back
to the rest of the Internet, it's easy! But first, does it
like riddles? I'm terrible at them, but I love the idea
of riddles... I don't know where I was going with that.

Here is a 4-page nonfiction comic I wrote, penciled,
and inked last year. It's about Shel Dorf and the origins
of the San Diego Comic Con [dramatized and summarized].

What did you think?
Feel free to point out any missteps. Also, if you were still
looking for a way out of here, I applaud you for your
unflappable retention and tenacity...
and that's all I got for you.

SIT TIGHT, MORE COMING THIS WEEK!

On The Topic Of Time-Travel...

It's a Maharaja fashion plate! I always have a lot of fun
working with such a versatile character, the different
interpretations are sort of endless - kinda like the credit
sequence for MTV's Daria. And, coming soon, this guy will
star in his very own COMIC STRIP! [look for it]
